What Is Ayurveda?

Ayurveda is an ancient Indian system of medicine. It means the science of life and is blessed by Lord Dhanvantari. It was originated five thousand years ago. Ayurveda states that the balance of the three elemental substances Vata, Pita, and Kapha equals healthy body, mind &soul while the imbalance in these three equals disease.

It focuses on the use of plant-made medicine and treatment. Yoga is a sister alliance of Ayurveda. Practitioner advises different kinds of yoga asanas and pranayamas for a healthy mind, body, and soul.

Before many years people did not have X-rays, blood tests, MRI, CAT scans, EKG. At that time Astavidha parixa (eight-fold examination) was being used to diagnose the disease. The true aim of Ayurveda is to clear out the clutter in the mind, body, and senses to access your greatest potential for health and thriving.
